亞足聯官方寫道 ：受疫情局勢影響 ，墨尔名额撣邦聯宣布退出亞冠 。本城根據競賽規程 ，争夺正赛亞足聯宣布取消撣邦聯與墨爾本城的亚冠疫情亞冠資格賽 。墨爾本城將直接晉級亞冠附加賽 ，掸邦大阪與日本的联因大阪櫻花爭奪J組第四檔席位。
中超球隊廣州被分至J組 ，退赛同組對手還有泰超球隊泰港 、墨尔名额港超球隊傑誌 。本城
